Press on Nails Wear & Care Guide
Your nails are hand-painted works of art. To keep them looking "1st Place" and to ensure you get multiple wears out of every set, follow our simple guide.
1. Preparation is Key
For the longest lasting wear (up to 2 weeks), your natural nails need to be ready:
- Clean: Wash your hands and dry them thoroughly.
- Prep: Gently push back your cuticles and lightly buff the surface of your natural nail to remove the shine.
- Sanitize: Use an alcohol wipe to remove any natural oils or dust.
2. Application
- Sticky Tabs (Perfect for a weekend): Match the tab size to your nail, apply to your natural nail, peel the backing, and press the nail down firmly for 15 seconds.
- Nail Glue (Perfect for 1-2 weeks): Apply a small drop of glue to the back of the press-on and a small drop to your natural nail. Hold firmly for 30 seconds.
3. How to Reuse Your Nails
The best thing about our boutique sets? They aren't "one and done."
- The Secret Removal: Never "rip" them off. Soak your hands in warm, soapy water with a little bit of cuticle oil for 10-15 minutes. The nails will gently lift.
- Cleaning: Once removed, use a small tool or a buffing block to gently scrape away any leftover glue from the back of the press-on.
- Storage: Pop them back in your K. Willetts Nail Artist box to keep them safe and dust free until your next event!
The Removal & Reuse Guide
The "No-Damage" Removal (For Glue Users): Soak your hands in a bowl of warm water mixed with dish soap and a generous amount of any oil (olive oil or cuticle oil works best) for 15–20 minutes.
- Gently use a wooden cuticle stick to see if the edges are lifting. If they feel stuck, soak for another 5 minutes. Never force them.
The "Reuse" Secret: Once removed, let the press-ons dry. You can gently buff away any dried glue residue from the inside of the nail using a small buffing block. Your art is now ready for its next outing!
The Golden Rule: Avoid using pure acetone for removal if you wish to reuse the nails.
